What is a QEAA?

The Qualified Electronic Attestation of Attributes (QEAA) is a verifiable digital proof that clearly reflects the trustworthiness of an attribute of natural and legal persons.

How is a QEAA created?

Certificate-based authentication uses a digital certificate issued by a trusted certification authority (CA), such as SIGN8.
The user or device generates a key pair consisting of a private and public key.
The public key and identity information are sent to the CA, which creates a digital certificate and digitally signs it.
The user presents their certificate during the login process.
The server checks the signature and validity of the certificate as well as the identity of the user.
If everything is correct, access is granted.

How can we support you?

At SIGN8 GmbH, a qTSP and certification authority (CA), we offer a secure and high-performance server environment with our Trust Centre Infrastructure (TCI), with which we can issue legally compliant QEAAs.

Your advantages

Certification

SIGN8 is a qualified Trust Service Provider (qTSP) and is authorised to issue QEAAs for your attributes. To do this, we use the latest technology at the highest security level with the TCI.

Increased Efficiency

With QEAAs, processes can run faster and more efficiently as they eliminate the need for physical documents and enable automatic verification.

Security

QEAAs offer a high level of security and minimise risks by providing tamper-proof digital evidence that is more difficult to forge than physical documents.

Regulatory Conformity

Because they are recognised in all European member states, QEAAs ensure that regulatory requirements are met and reduce compliance costs for companies.

New Business Models

The use of QEAAs opens up new market opportunities and numerous business opportunities, as companies can develop innovative services and products through the use of digital evidence.

Regular Audits

Our systems are regularly checked by internal and external audits, including by the German Federal Network Agency. So you can be sure that we offer you Trust Centre infrastructure components of the highest quality.

Do you have any questions?

What does QEAA stand for?

QEAA stands for Qualified Electronic Attestation of Attributes. Users of the EUdi Wallet can use it to prove various attributes in the digital world, e.g. to authorities or companies.

Who is authorised to issue QEAA?

QEAAs are being introduced as new trust services as part of the EUdi wallet and must therefore fulfil the strict requirements of the eIDAS Regulation. Only eIDAS-certified companies such as SIGN8 are authorised to offer such trust services.

What are the use cases for QEAAs?

Use cases for QEAAs can be, for example, digital driving licences, tax data, educational certificates or professional licences.
