As a Trust Service Provider, SIGN8 endeavours to ensure that its digital services are accessible in accordance with the Disability Equality Act (BGG), the Accessible Information Technology Regulation (BITV 2.0) and EU Directive 2016/2102. The assessment of accessibility is based on an internal self-assessment and supporting testing tools.
For customisable services, the principle of shared responsibility applies: SIGN8 ensures the technical accessibility, keyboard operability and screen reader support of the platform in its standard layout. Where customers make visual customisations (e.g. their own brand colours or logos) or upload documents for signature, this constitutes third-party content beyond our control. Compliance with the required contrast ratios and the accessible formatting of uploaded documents are therefore the sole responsibility of the respective customer.
